the self behind the self
NOTE
CLOSED TO NEW STUDENTS AUGUST 7-SEPTEMBER 3
Anyone can learn this practice of breath, presence, and movement: The Art of Ashtanga Vinyasa. Beginners are especially welcome. We are located on Church Street, in the Leunig’s building, upstairs. Find yourself in a welcoming, cozy environment to initiate or continue to cultivate your relationship with Yoga. Our students see measurable growth within their Yogic skills, both inner and outer.
We bow deeply to tradition, while continuing contemporary study to support all practitioners. GMA is a compassionate, professionally led environment bringing much more than Asana into your practice, though you will be supported in movement goals should you have any. We are the only daily Mysore program in Vermont. Come and check out this original style of Yoga and discover together how we can make it work for you. If you are a Vinyasa student or teacher, we can help you improve your abilities. Many of our students practice both. This movement style will radically support your fitness routine. If you run, lift, do CrossFit, etc, Ashtanga will help you in those endeavors both physically and mentally.

“Endeavoring to become closer to our highest selves.”
About unlimited monthly pricing options:
Ashtanga is best practiced with consistency, at least 3 days a week. We offer three unlimited monthly options at 135$ sustaining, 155$ supporting, and 175$ stewarding. Sustaining members get one free guest pass a month, and stewarding practitioners get two.
There is also a single drop in option.
We are a from-scratch Shala that isn’t tax exempt or subsidized in any way.
A Mysore class is likened to a private lesson in a group setting. Start by practicing about half an hour and build from there. You will be guided with integrity, love, skill, and discover the difference professional teaching earned in India can do for you. When you show up, you will slowly learn the beginning postures of The Primary Series, where every body starts, right where they are. As this is different from modern American Yoga, and thus may feel mysterious to you, please understand the best way to start the process is to just show up and get going.
